A pioneer who
made art her career.

Lorraine Osorio started cutting hair at 16 years old, inspired by her mother's cosmetology work and driven by a desire to earn the deep respect barbers command. She broke barriers as a woman in the barber industry before opening MLJ Artistry Salon in February 2016 in Westbury, NY.

Today, MLJ Artistry is a true one-stop shop: vivid color transformations, precision cuts for all textures, bridal styling, men's grooming, and extensions. Her warm personality and meticulous technique have built one of Long Island's most loyal client bases.

With goals to expand into film, launch her own product line, open a school, and build a cross-industry networking community — Lorraine is just getting started.
